The Large green grasshopper is a heavily built grasshopper, green over most of the body with pink patches on the hindwings that show only in flight. Females grow noticeably larger than males.
It feeds on a wide range of leaves and can occasionally damage citrus and other crops when numbers build up, living in farmland and forest edges across a wide range of southern and eastern Asia.
