The Peaceful cicada is a small to medium sized cicada with a green, yellowish or reddish brown body, clear glassy wings, and a whitish, powdery underside; males grow larger than females.
Adults live in lowland and low hill forests and are also common in plantations and fragmented woodland, where males produce a soft, short buzzing call mostly in the early evening from May to August.
